As many of you know, I recently joined middle america for a 5 day cruise to the Baha Peninsula. Some of you may be surprised to learn that the people who go "cruising' are not...um, how do I put this....old. They are in fact white trash.
Examples;
- The head waiter came and introduced himself to each of the tables seated in the dining room. Upon hearing that the head waiter was from India, the witty response from the table next us was..., "You're an Indian. Can we call you Tonto?"
- Once the diners next to us realized that the waiters were at a our beck and call, they began ordering nightly cutting of their meals into bite-size pieces. The sight of a perfectly capable 20-Something smiling as a dark-skinned waiter cuts their meal into bite-sized pieces is enough to make one lose their appetite.
- I actually heard the word's "Git her done" more than three times in the 5 day trip. One instance included an over sized middle-aged woman finishing off a plate of waffles and donuts, and was said to her by what I think was her son.
If only these were the only examples...I assure you, more to come.
These people reminded my why GWB is our president, and also assured my residence on either coast. AS GOD AS MY WITNESS, I could not possibly have suffered these fools a moment longer.
So when I read David Cross's open letter to Larry the Cable Guy, I felt a kinship to both the words and sentiment. Enjoy!
Until the replacement arrived, the boys seemed to be enjoying an excuse to urinate in the backyard...
